Well, it’s Valentine’s day, and that is our deadline to see what we’re doing for Chapter 2. And the most votes went to…
Treasure hunt!

So, here are the details:
When: Sunday the 20th of February, meet at 12:00pm
Treasure hunt!!! Awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk around Hyde Park.
– Zayna, 28
Where: Hyde Park Corner (google map here)
Who can come: Anyone
How much: Free
SPECIAL NOTE: If you need to get a hold of me on the day, I will have an event mobile: 07528 282 570 (PLEASE NOTE: that number is only active that day, so don’t call it before or after.)
BTW: In the event of bad weather, there is a plan B, but we would still meet same time and same place, just bring an umbrella.
On the day, please bring a small object that tells a story about you. It could be anything you like, but please try to bring something small and portable, say no larger than a football/soccer ball. Also, please bring your object in a bag or container such that no one else will see it when you arrive. You’ll understand why on the day.
Any questions, get in touch, otherwise see you there!

Man, this is f***in’ boring. Your seriously loosing it with this. This will never last.
Hello… um… “i cant believe it”.
Thanks for your “boring” comment.
I suppose it would be a propos for me to reply by saying “one man’s trash is another’s treasure” seeing as how Chapter 2 is a treasure hunt. But I digress.
This blog is an experiment in making a difference. People voted to have the treasure hunt, and most tell me they can’t wait until Sunday. Whether 20 people show up or 2 people, at worse it’s still a great day out, and at best… well they help create Chapter 3.
It’s early days. This will last as long as it lasts, that is not up to me. I’ll give my energy, and see what energy comes back.
So, if you don’t like this idea, let me ask you; do you have a better one?
What positive role can you play?
Allan
You gotta love anon commenters – probably some sad person in a dark room on a computer wishing they could get out and see more treasure in the world but afraid to reveal themselves
Ignore idiot comments like that Allan. Like you say, what positive difference is he/she making?
See ya sunday

Great job Allan! Wish I was back in London to take part. You have a great way of bringing people together in fun and creative ways, so keep it up!
(Must resist urge to correct all of the spelling mistakes in Mr negativity`s comment. Better to just ignore it and take high road!)
@i cant believe it – get a life, and take some spelling lessons!
All comments are welcome – constructive or otherwise, spelled correctly or otherwise. I moderate for spam and real bone heads, but have to let people have a voice, or we never grow better.
Diane — maybe one day you and Gary help me setup a “underwater date” for a group
One can dream!
Allan
I love the fact that the “this will never last” comment kinda ignores the success of the Are You My Wife project.
I wonder why he/she came to this site. Because if it was to find a partner there are big indications there as to why he/she is having difficulty.
I’ll see people Sunday. Still struggling to pin down an item with a good story attached.
@Simon; don’t stress too much over your object. Worse case, you might find something on the day!
No worries. I DO have some ideas, just trying to narrow it down to one.
Allan, when you open your Montreal chapter we will host a scuba date! It worked for us.
Good to know! Would love to… see how this all pans out
(BTW: I’ve got a flashback video coming up in a couple of weeks that shows me meeting someone underwater
It is a GREAT way to meet someone.)
