Sometimes you pass things that reassure you that you are perhaps on the right path. Some may call them signs.
On the day of Chapter 3 (The London skate) I was heading to the London Underground in a state of “auto-pilot”. My mind was so pre-occupied that I almost missed a thing of beauty… but when I saw it, I stopped dead in my tracks in admiration when I realised what I was looking at.
Was it a sign? Well, yes… in fact two signs.
Usually the white boards in Tube stations (a.k.a Service Boards) carry bad news. If Service boards are on display when you walk through the barriers, it always means woes for your journey. Words like “SEVERE DELAYS”, CLOSED” and “ALTERNATE ROUTES” are the usual messages. But not this time.
Here are two Service boards that were out as I was starting my journey to Chapter 3. And to think that these works of art were created with nothing more than a bucket of markers who’s usual purpose is to write horrible words.
Whoever you are Kim, good on you for making some inspiring Tube art during your shift!
It reads:
“To all my wonderful Lovelies! Remember to NEVER give up on your DREAMS. Be happy. Love, Kim”
It reads:
“Each day we open our doors to a new sunrise, and sometimes the day greets us with a surprise. Though some days are joyous and others seem plain, embrace them, for we’ll never get this day again! — For my lovelies, I wish you the happiest of days! Love Kim x”
